One record of Eddie’s success is measured by the sheer number of Collegiate, Professional, and international championship teams that he has managed or coached. The two-time NLL Coach of the year has one of the NLL all-time winningest records. He has championship records with Toronto Rock, Rochester Knighthawks, and Georgia Swarm among his storied career. Mr. Comeau has a long and exemplary history with Canada’s National teams from 1994 to the current day.Men’s Team Canada roles included team manager, assistant coach, and video support staff in 1994, 2002, 2006, and 2014 with Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Gold Medal performances respectively. In Men’s World Box Lacrosse Championship play, where Canada has an unmatched record of excellence with Gold Medal performances in 2003, 07, 11, 15, and 2019 Eddie has served as Assistant Coach twice, Head Coach twice and will be reprising his role of General manager in 2024. Along with his record of excellence in coaching and managing teams, Eddie has done great work in developing the game at the grass roots level. This work has included work with the Hamilton Minor Lacrosse school program, coaching clinics, and partnership with the NLL Youth Development Program. Comeau was one of the founders of McMaster University’s Field Lacrosse and was in the original meetings of Ontario University Field Lacrosse which eventually became the CUFLA. He has also been a member of the Lacrosse Canada High Performance programs.
