was an all-around athlete who distinguished himself in many sports.

He started his career in lacrosse with the Riverdale Flats in 1912. He was on the eastern Canadian Champion Riverdale Tecumsehs from 1919 to 1922 and then moved to the Scarborough, Ontario, Irish Canadians.

A dedicated, tough defensive player, he was an inspiration to his teammates.
