(1886-1976) James Jimmy Gifford, from 1904 to 1912, was a fierce competitor who gave no quarter and asked for none. He was a member of four Minto Cup championship teams, and turned to coaching when his playing days ended. He guided the New Westminster Adanacs Club to the Mann Cup in 1939.
