Michael Edward Francis Kelley was the owner, coach, and manager of the famous Hamilton Tigers in the 1930’s. 

He developed such stars as High ‘Shipwreck’ Kelly, Bill Isaacs (charter inductee in 1965), Merv McKenzie (inductee in 1966), and many others. 

He was president of the Ontario Lacrosse Association and the Canadian Lacrosse Association after retiring from the team level. He was also an executive member of the Irish Canadians Club. 

The Mike Kelley Award is presented annually to the most valuable player in the Mann Cup.
