Murray Served the Canadian Lacrosse Association from 1991 – 2011 as Chairman of the Officiating Committee and he also served with the National Officiating Certification Program. Taylor’s service over 50 years includes on floor referee from 1968 – 1985 during which span it included Mann Cups in 1976, 1980, 1982 and 1986. Murray was also served Minto Cup competitions in 1974. 1975, 1977, 1979, and 1983; Founders Cup in 1974 and multiple years after that. Murray was also active within the Ontario Lacrosse Association through being on the founding committee and serving 50 years, with the Ontario lacrosse Referees Association including OLA Referee in Charge from 1991 – 2001, and Referee Evaluator/Supervisor from 1986 – 2019 In recognition of his substantial achievements and contributions he has been honoured as a life member of the OLRA.
