Norm’s refereeing resume began with box lacrosse in 1979 and continued with involvement Manitoba High School field lacrosse in the mid-1980s. His abilities as an official are highly regarded throughout the lacrosse community and are reflected in his been chosen to officiate at numerous provincial, national, and international competitions. These have included Founders Cup, Ross/Victory Cup Championship, North American Indigenous Games, U19 Men’s Field Lacrosse World Championship, World Inter-crosse World Championship Gold Medal Game, Senior Men’s Field Lacrosse World Championship, First Nations Trophy/Alumni Cup, and World Police & Fire Games. In addition, he was recruited to officiate at U.S. Upper Mid-west NCAA Division Field lacrosse Championships between 2000 and 2010. In addition to roles on the field and in the box spanning more than forty years, Norm has served on both the CLA’s Rules Committee and the FIL Inter-crosse Rules Committee.
