In 1991, the Orangeville Northmen entered the Junior “A” ranks. They had an immediate impact on the League, ending the year in 2nd place with a 16 – 4 record, giving notice that the Northmen belonged in the big leagues .In 1993, in only their 3rd year in the Jr. A League, coached by the legendary bench boss Terry Sanderson and assisted by brother Lindsay Sanderson, they achieved success with a nucleus of 13 x 18-Year-olds and other local players to fill their lineup. Over the next four years, they went on to be the most successful Jr. A team of the decade. They won the Minto Cup in 1993, 1995, and 1996.
