After a stellar Junior A career in New Westminster, Skip Chapman moved up to the Senior Salmonbellies in 196' but, with future Hall of Famer Les Norman (1989) in the New Westminster nets, he made his way to Victoria where he made an immediate impact.

His stellar play helped turn the Shamrocks fortune around and earn him a spot on the I.C.L.L.'s First All-Star team and the League M.V.P.

He moved back to the mainland in 1966, leading the Carlings to Mann Cup appearances in 1966 and 67 and was named the Playoff M.V.P. in 67 national title.

After winning the W.L.A.'s top goalkeeper award in 1968 and taking a '-year hiatus from the game, 197' found him back on the Island where he ended his outstanding career in 1976.

He finished with a save percentage of over 75 percent and was an All-Star eight times, a record for goalkeepers.
